The Ida Washington Violin was modeled after Fritz Kreisler's 1733 Guarneri del Gesu', completed in October, 2001. The spruce top was cut in Bavaria in 1954, and the Bosnian maple back and ribs were cut in 1954. The instrument was commissioned by Ida Washington of Weybridge, Vermont. |
