This 16 1/4 inch viola was made in 1990 and is modeled after the 1676 "Conte Vitale" made by Andreas Guarneri.  It was on loan to Oberlin Conservatory for two years and was played in by two advanced students.  Made shortly after my father died, the viola is dedicated to his memory. The "Thurmond" viola was sold to Dr. Reuben Epstein in early 2001.
