Rudolph Wurlitzer Company Violin

This violin was sold by The Rudolph Wurlitzer Company  established in Cincinnati in 1856.  For their first 50 years of business they were mainly retailers, purchasing instruments from family in Germany.  This violin is in excellent condition with beautiful brown-red varnish.  The two piece spruce top is fine to medium straight grained.  The one-piece quarter sawn back is highly flamed, with similar wood used for the ribs and neck.  The violin is modeled after Stradivarius.

Sale price: $1200.
