Maker of Violins, Violas and Cellos

Saint Cecilia Violin

This violin was completed in July, 2004 and is modeled after Fritz Kreisler's 1733 Guarneri del Gesu'.  The two piece red maple back is from southern Vermont.  The two piece spruce top is from near Mittenwald, Bavaria.  It has been finished with spirit varnish.  The violin is dedicated to Saint Cecilia, the Patroness of Musicians.  The instrument was sold to Reuben Epstein of Rochester, New York, who also owns a viola made by Thurmond.
