This is a Strad model German violin fully restored by Thurmond Knight in 2020. Setup is all ebony with a Wittner tailpiece. Spruce top has even medium grain all across. Two piece maple back is well and evenly flamed for its entire length with flames slanting downwards from center joint. Varnish is a honey golden-brown and in good condition with the exception of the back which has some deep scratches in the lower bout, running vertically. Tone is strong and very warm–would do nicely in string ensembles and orchestra. Sale Price: $875
