This instrument was made in Saxony ca. 1875 and was modeled after Giovanni Paolo Maggini. It is in perfect condition, with double purfling and a beautifully carved scroll with an extra turn of the spiral, coupled with lovely warm golden-brown hand-rubbed oil varnish. The craftsmanship is accomplished throughout. The sound is robust and of solo quality, with far reaching projection. It speaks very well and has a quick and easy response, and is easy to play.
