This violin is in very good condition with beautiful warm brown varnish with golden highlights.
It was made and repaired by Louis Krieckhaus in 1917 and labeled as number 146. Apparently later the
same year he re-graduated the top and back. Then in August, 1921, the violin
was again graduated by E. T. Lord, in Miami, Florida. Through the shop of Paul Perley, the instrument was sold to
a family living in the Montpelier, Vermont area. The new owner is a student of the
well known violinist and teacher, Ray Malone.
