Professor Solon Q. Bemis made this instrument in 1914 in Hartford, Connecticut. This is the Professor’s own model with a very distinctive scroll. This instrument has a warm dark resonant voice that would make even a violist happy. It would be an excellent instrument for orchestral or ensemble work. It is in near perfect condition. Sold in May, 2013 to fiddler in Vermont
